I graduated from Liberty University with a Communications degree in graphic design, but my passion is in fine art. Since graduating, I started "Kelly's Artbox" in Historic Occoquan, VA and have been working as a freelance artist specializing in portraits, murals and custom model horses. I also teach art classes in my quaint little studio by the river.
Many people ask me how I have accomplished so much being so young. I have my parents to thank, especially my Father who passed away from lung cancer in September 2010. My dad was my biggest cheerleader and encouraged me to open up a studio and continued to support me through the entire growing process. He was an amazing accomplished "self-made man" that I will miss dearly. During my childhood, he was the first to show off what his "artist daughter" recently painted or drew, and drilled into me that I could be whatever I wanted to be.
Few people in this world get the opportunity to do what they really love and have a passion for. I am thankful everyday that I love my job. I can only hope to inspire you with my work and to create something that you will cherish and admire for years to come.
